The colonial ambiance is delightful, and the mineral pools were enjoyable, despite being smaller than expected. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, which made the stay pleasant overall. However, the carpeting in the room was threadbare and posed a safety concern with protruding tacks. The restaurant experience was mixed. while the food was well-cooked, the service felt awkward and the dessert was disappointing, which affected the overall dining experience.

Had an amazing time with my friends! The location was perfect, close to some stunning hiking trails. We enjoyed great food and a relaxing vibe at the hotel. Be sure to check out the geothermal pools—they're a fantastic way to unwind after a long day of adventures.

One downside was the shower in our suite. it lacked a complete shower door, making things a bit messy. But overall, it didn't overshadow our experience.

The Prince'S Gate Hotel features charming Victorian decor, enhancing the historical ambiance. The hotel's accessibility made it easy for me to navigate, allowing a comfortable experience to enjoy all the beautiful spaces during my stay.

No elevator for second-floor rooms.

staying at prince's gate was a delightful experience. the hotel has a charming old-fashioned vibe with beautiful chesterfield sofas in the lovely lounge. i enjoyed having a chat with fellow guests after dinner and sipping a beer on the veranda in the afternoon. the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, adding to the warm atmosphere.

The dinner at the hotel was really memorable! ! We had to wait for a while but once the food came out, it was incredible – the smoked venison was to die for!

It wasn't exactly affordable, but all things considered, it was decent.

This hotel was just a strong match for a quick trip in Rotorua with good price-quality ratio. The thermal pools were lovely and hot, surrounded by beautiful gardens. For a more enjoyable stay, try to visit during warmer months.

I loved the spacious room with beautiful decoration, the delicious breakfast that kept me full for hours, and the charming high tea experience. I'd definitely stay again!

Our stay in the spacious Two-Bedroom Suite felt like a retro dream come true! 🌟 The big bathtub was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the cozy living area made it feel like home. Plus, the hot pool in the patio area was a delightful surprise we enjoyed every evening!

We had a lovely time exploring Rotorua's amazing hiking trails. The hotel's warm welcome made us feel right at home. The hot pools were the perfect way to unwind after a full day of adventure, and it was great to have our pet with us too!

In my wife’s opinion, two bathrooms would have made family stays much better.
